I've tried two Fireballs at this point, one had a decent amount of popping candy and one didn't. The popping candy can often be hit or miss in Lush's bombs because sometimes it loses it's reactivity. I love that the shape of the bomb helps to direct the fizz upwards, creating a fire like effect- growing ever larger as the bomb continues to dissolve. The bomb is a medium fizzer, not too slow and not too fast with lots of foam on the surface. In the water, Fireball produces a beautiful bath art- with lots of reds, oranges and yellows.

However, I'm sure it's helping to bring out the overall spice in the scent.
#CINDERS BATH BOMB SKIN#
In Fireball, the cinnamon is definitely the star of the show, offering a dry, powdery spiciness, with the almond sitting in the background.įireball also contains some mustard powder- which have been added for it's warming effect on the skin more than anything else.

Possibly it was a tweak to the quantities or maybe it just smells different in different products?Īs already mentioned, the main notes are the cinnamon and almond- offering a sweet, spicy fragrance with the orange rounding everything out and adding a subtle fruitiness. It's interesting that the Cinders scent smells so different in different formats as it always utilises the same three ingredients- almond oil, cinnamon oil and orange oil. The first thing I noticed when I picked up Fireball was that it's more like the original Cinders bomb, more spicy and dry, than sweet and almondy. For some reason, the almond became much more prominent and the scent had more of a cherry/almond, marzipan thing going on. Ever since we lost Cinders, the scent has never been quite right when Lush used it in the Secret Arts Jelly Bomb or the Cinders Shower Gel. It was a dry, cinnamon-led spicy scent that really reminded you of burning wood. The original Cinders bomb really captured the smell of a fire perfectly. Lush create this by using warm colours, a spicy warm scent and some popping candy to give the impression of crackling wood. The whole idea behind Cinders and Fireball is that it's meant to be reminiscent of a roaring fire- whether that be a wild bonfire or just a fireplace. I like that they took the concept and aesthetic of the original Cinders and just amped up the design. It's such a fantastic design and one that is really eye catching in stores. This year, we were treated to a new version of Cinders- bigger and better, with an amazing new design.įireball looks like a literal fireball, like a big ball of flames with red, yellow and orange.

Cinders was a small, yellow bomb that became a Christmas classic at Lush- until they discontinued it a few years ago. Those who have been a fan of Lush for a while will remember a very popular bath bomb by the name of Cinders.
